About Analog

ANALOG is a comedic, romantic thriller in the tradition of OCEAN’S 11 and THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR. It centers around Zissa - a thief - and Gabe - an FBI agent. They met at camp when they were teenagers and their high school romance blossomed into something real. They were engaged, about to be married, when Zissa betrayed Gabe; despite having promised that she’d give up her life of crime, she used his connections at the FBI to perpetrate a major heist. She left him heartbroken and with a career in the toilet, the lowest man on the totem pole in white collar crime. They haven’t spoken for years, but when Zissa discovers someone has hacked her, Gabe is the only person she can turn to. They soon realize they have a common enemy and that the spark that burned between them never really died…

ANALOG’s form is also unique in that ANALOG is a hybrid film, video game, and graphic novel to be distributed on its own app.

Film: ANALOG is a feature-length, contained story. It is comprised of 12 episodes, each totaling 7-10 minutes of runtime. It is designed to be watched and played all in one sitting, but can be easily consumed in smaller bites.

Video Game: Each episode of ANALOG will contain at least one game woven into the narrative. The games range from memory to decoding messages to Choose Your Own Adventure/BANDERSNATCH-style vignettes.

Graphic Novel: Most episodes of ANALOG will feature Polaroid photograph vignettes of action sequences and/or flashbacks. This is a fun stylistic choice in keeping with the theme of “going analog” that will also make the viewing experience more dynamic.

Distributed on Its Own App: In order to maximize profits and visibility, ANALOG will be distributed as games are, via an app that will be designed and built specifically for this project.
